I am passionate about building!
Building with the hands: I’m naturally handy and have always found satisfaction in making things: from furniture to pottery, from inventing games to creating menus, and so much more. I love dabbling with new hobbies on a regular basis, always enjoying the process as much as the result.
This passion for building is what drove me to learning web development. Learning to code and solving problems on my screen immediately felt like playing video games to me (for context, I REALLY love video games). I’m constantly amazed at how powerful a few lines of code can be and in awe of the results being rendered. The variety of different ways to approach a problem keeps me on my toes and I’m excited to keep learning and discovering techniques, languages and frameworks.
Building with the heart: I’m what people call a people person. I simply love being around others, listening to people’s stories, passions, problems and ideas. I never miss an opportunity to lend a helping hand, or to provide a place for others to approach things differently (which I find is often the best help!). I take pride in having built the reputation of being someone others can count on whether they need to get something done, a laugh, or are looking to be heard and supported. I believe that fostering positivity and community building can have a huge impact on those around me.
I’m excited to step into a role within a collaborative environment where I will continue to hone my skills and keep growing as a developer. Let’s connect!
